Ablate Mountain is a dance company and music cooperative founded by Cornelia Voglmayr & Peter Kollreider.
To ablate a mountain is a task you won’t finish in one lifetime. It works layer by layer and inspiration by inspiration. It also considers, that our art is influenced by the activities of our precursors and our environment.
Movement is in the body, in pictures, in the fade of a smell, in architecture, in a way of looking, in music, in sounds, it surrounds us, inhales us, it is always interconnected, it never comes alone, it is a translator, a converter and an activator, you can think it and feel it at the same time, movement is life, time and place, it is gravity and let us levitate, frees us and shows our borders. Music is dance and dance is music.
